why?

A new token launches on Raydium's LaunchLab curve from its creator's wallet, quoted in a tokenized stock or a crypto asset from the catalogue; at the fill Raydium locks it into a CPMM pool whose fees pay holders in that asset. A token you already have is paired into a pool its owner opens from their own wallet, with no new supply: two transactions, the lock carrying the rules in a memo, with one signed message only as a fallback, and only the pool's Fee Key reaches the site's payout wallet.

Every pool's liquidity is locked in Raydium's lock program, which has no release instruction in the bytecode deployed today; Raydium can upgrade it. The site's payout wallet holds the fee keys, the dev-buy ladder and what rounds owe holders, all public on chain. It holds no financial licence, and the quote assets are third-party instruments with their own risks — read what each one actually represents before you trade in it.
